Meet Us

We are a collective in how we approach our work with you and behind the scenes with each other, this means you will be working with a therapist who can fully show up as themselves and hope to create a relationship for you to feel safe to do the same. We believe we all bring shared value and wisdom to our space and are committed to equal partnership. This parallels our therapeutic approach.

Hello, My name is Dajanae, I go by Day (she/her). Finding the time to pour into yourself can be a challenge and I am delighted that you are here and inquiring. Your presence is an act of immense self-love. I'd like to share a bit about my intentions and practices in this work so you may decide if we are aligned for your treatment journey.

My passion is providing people with a safe space to discover and use their authentic voice. My lived experiences have enhanced my curiosity, compassion, and cultural humility. Understanding and belonging have played pivotal roles in many of these impactful experiences, which is why I work to embody these qualities in the therapeutic space. We are complex beings with multiple identities that deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated. My work consists of deepening self awareness, embodying authenticity, and co-creating grounded, nourishing, and liberating relationships.

The parenthood pathway and whole-person wellness is where my passions and skills intersect. I incorporate my years of experience of child care providing, yoga instructing, and birth & postpartum doula work into a mind-body-spirit approach to mental health. This approach is inclusive of but not limited to the fertility, childbearing, and parenting phases of life. Through a trauma-informed, yogic, and social justice lens, I'm able to apply a client-centered approach which focuses on what has happened to you, your lineage, and community. Together, we will work to identify the internal and external barriers that affect your quality of life. In this way, I strive to become a part of your support system, aiding you in the recognition and remembrance of your own strength and power.

It is an honor and humbling opportunity to walk alongside you during some of the most vulnerable moments in your life. My intention is to provide a compassionate and direct approach, sprinkled with humor.

I like to leverage the healing properties of asking questions, as I gently challenge you in order to reconnect with your true authentic self while gaining self-awareness, emotional clarity, and overcoming emotional wounds.

My beloved pastimes stretch across studying herbalism, painting & pottery, star gazing, foraging on walks, traditional dancing, buying more plants to fit in my home (which already has a lot of plants), spending quality time with my family as a mother to one beautiful black boy and drinking way too many cups of tea!

  • Co-founder

I have had the privilege of working with parents and their young children for over 15 years. My therapeutic focus is always on relationships; what happened or didn’t happen to us when we were younger and the meaning we created of these experiences shape who we become and our expectations of ourselves and others in relationships. I have extensive training and experience in creating space with my clients to think about and explore how the deeply held beliefs they have of themselves shape the relationships with their children and what might go well and where they might struggle. I have seen the beauty that happens when my clients are able to free themselves from these narratives, and see the possibilities unfold for healthier, strong relationships. I believe my clients have the answers already, and that sometimes need a helping hand in peeling back the layers of old hurt and painful experiences to hear more clearly their own inner guide.
